Kilteely National School is a 'Green School'. This makes us part of a fantastic club of environmentally friendly schools all over the world. Kilteely NS is a committed participant in the Green Schools programme and currently holds four Green Flags. In the current school year we are working on our fifth theme of Biodiversity, as well as maintaining and further improving our achievements of the previous themes of Litter & Waste, Energy, Water and Travel.

The overall aim of the Biodiversity theme is for schools to increase awareness of the importance of biodiversity and for students and staff to come up with ways to help biodiversity.
